Gerard "Gary" William Kurzynski Sr., 73, passed away November 27th, 2023, surrounded by loved ones, at Trinity Livingston Hospital in Howell, Michigan after a hard battle with illness. Born February 18th, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to William and Jerene Kurzynski.
Gary graduated from Thurston High School in Redford, Michigan and served for a short time in the US Air Force until his mother passed away in a tragic car accident. Grief-stricken, he returned home and went on to work 30+ years performing Maintenance work for Farmington Public Schools. He was a proud soccer coach to many for 10+ years. In his earlier days, he most enjoyed racing his Plymouth Roadrunner. Throughout his life and later, he enjoyed fancy cars, pulling pranks, WWE wrestling, cigars, Invicta watches, Halloween, Michigan Wolverines football and watching the deer feed in his backyard.
Gary is survived by his children, Constance (Joseph) Garzone of Waterford, Garrett (Melissa) Kurzynski of White Lake, Gary (Marie) Kurzynski Jr. of Fowlerville and Valerie (Tricia) Kurzynski of Fowlerville. He is also survived by his beloved sister Cynthia, his friend and former wife, Linda, and the mothers of his children. He will further be missed by his grandchildren Sara, Alli and Kyle and step-grandchildren Mia and Ella.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his best canine friend, Snickers.
Visitation will be held from 4:00PM - 8:00PM Friday, December 1st, 2023, at Herrmann Funeral Home, 1005 E Grand River Ave, Fowlerville, MI 48836.
A second visitation will be held from 10:00AM - 11:00AM Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, at Saint Mary Catholic Church, 157 High Street, Willamston, MI 48895. Funeral Mass to immediately follow at 11:00AM.
