After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Photography from Columbia College Chicago, he went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. His legal career was as distinguished as it was impactful, with Gerardo appearing before the highest courts in the land, including the United States Supreme Court and several Circuit Courts of Appeals, advocating fervently for justice and a fair legal immigration process.

He enlisted in the air force because of his passion for flying. The beloved mother of his children, Rosamaria, shared in the joy of their family's milestones, memories and miracles. Every year, Gerardo would gather his loved ones for a Christmas vacation, a tradition that will be fondly remembered. We will strive to carry out the legacy he built for us.
