Gertie Jean Brewer, age 85, of Campbellsburg, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born July 4, 1940 in Campbellsburg, she was the daughter of Newton and Anna (Roberts) Price.
Mrs. Brewer was a graduate of Henry County High School. She moved to Versailles, Kentucky in 1965 and worked as a line leader for Texas Instruments in Versailles until her retirement in 1999. She then returned to Campbellsburg and resided there until her death.
She was a long-time member of the Campbellsburg United Methodist Church, enjoyed putting together puzzles and playing Solitaire on the computer.
Her surviving family includes three sons: John Ratcliff and his wife, Sheila of Winchester, Kentucky, David Ratcliff of Georgetown, Kentucky, and Mike Ratcliff and his wife, Merlyne of Campbellsburg; one brother, Garold Price and his wife, Lois of Campbellsburg; three grandchildren: John Ratcliff and his wife, Misty, Taylor Ratcliff and his wife, Jamie and Shelby Ratcliff; four great grandchildren: Hayden, Dawson, and Valerie Ratcliff, and Kali Evans and her husband, McClain; and five great-grandchildren: Brooks, Beckham, Kalani, Kason and Kobe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merle Brewer on February 11, 2012, and to whom she was married in 2000; ten brothers and sisters; and her first husband, Gene Ratcliff in 2004.
The Reverend Earl Wayne Perry will conduct the funeral services.
