Gianna “Gigi” Rose Cordero
June 25, 2010 – August 10, 2025
Gianna Rose Cordero, lovingly known as “Gigi,” was born on June 25, 2010, in Temple, Texas, to Gonsalo Cordero III and Tonya Cordero. On Sunday, August 10, 2025, at just 15 years old, Gigi left this world far too soon, leaving behind a family and community who will forever love and miss her.
Gigi had just begun her journey at Academy High School, where she was an enthusiastic participant in both the powerlifting team and ROTC. She was known for her sass, her quick wit, and her unwavering loyalty to her friends — truly a “girl’s girl” in every way.
Gigi met life with a spark in her eye and a heart full of love for the people closest to her. Her vibrant personality, humor, and fierce spirit made an unforgettable impact on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her parents, Gonsalo and Tonya Cordero; her siblings, Jameela Cordero and Gonsalo Cordero IV; Aunts, Amber Perfetti, Shawna Pearson, Anastasia Cordero, Miranda Rodriguez, Lois Rodriguez. Erica David, Shalonda Johnson, and Uncle Jeremy, aunt Jessica and uncle Adrian Aragon; along with cousins; Adrieana Lusk, Kailynn Pearson, Karson Cox, Briana Leschuck, Cecilia Díaz, Alyssia Diaz, Kason Wilson & Kai Rodriguez; grandparents, and many extended family members and friends who cherished her deeply.
A celebration of Gigi’s life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday August 23, 2025 at Young's Daughters Funeral Home. The celebration will be a collection of stories told. Please be prepared to share stories, moments shared, lessons learned etc to contribute to the service.
Gigi’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who loved her.
