Gil Blais, 64, passed away suddenly on Saturday morning, August 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Canada in 1961 to the late Nazaire and Gaetane (Tanguay) Blais, Gil moved with his family to Bristol at the age of six. He attended local schools and graduated from Bristol Eastern High School in 1979.

Gil began his career at Dayon's Spring Company before joining Economy Spring (Paragon), where he proudly dedicated 45 years of service. Known for his strong work ethic, Gil took great pride in providing for his family. Outside of work, he enjoyed taking on projects around the home on his John Deere tractor.

On May 15, 1982, Gil married the love of his life, Paula, at St. Matthew Church in Bristol, beginning a life together filled with love and devotion.

Gil is survived by his beloved wife, Paula; his son, Rick, and his wife, Stephanie; his daughters, Marcie Ruiz and her husband, Julio, and Stacy Blais. He also leaves his brothers, Luc Blais, James Blais and his wife, Vicky, Carl Blais and his wife, Lynn; his sister, Louise Blais; and his cherished grandchildren, Julio, Alicia, Joseph, Bryce, Gabriel, Kari, and Brooklyn.

Funeral services were held privately for the family at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Avenue, Bristol, on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Gil was laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in Bristol.
