Gilbert Perez Delgado

Gilbert P. Delgado, 75, of Toledo,Ohio passed away on January 2, 2026. He was born on August 17, 1950 to parents Paula and Gilbert in Raymondville, Texas.

Gilbert was a very proud Marine Corp Veteran. He also worked for Scottsdale for 30 years. He enjoyed oldies music like the Temptations, Sam Cooke and many others.

His family was his pride and joy and never failed to put the biggest smile on his face no matter what struggles he was going through. He loved his wife more than words can describe, she was his whole world. He loved all sports including football and baseball. He loved watching football with all of his grandsons every Sunday. Some of his favorite teams were the Michigan Wolverines and the Dallas Cowboys; his favorite baseball team was the Detroit Tigers.

Gilbert loved to travel any chance he could.

He had so many amazing caregivers that loved him like family including Linda, Karen, Samantha and Jean Ann, who was loyal to Gilbert for 10 years. He had such amazing whit, charm and an amazing sense of humor that nobody could resist.

Gilbert is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Maria Delgado. His 3 children and their partners, Jason, Eric and Lori, and Samantha and Tony; his 10 grandkids Dominique, Ricky, Dmitri, Jayce, Emma, Ben, Israel, Tia, Monica, Cruzy, Edward and Sierra Flores; his 11 great grandkids, and multiple siblings including Johnny, Roy, Francis, Connie, Freddy and Yolanda. Maria would like to extend much appreciation to Gilbert's daughter Samantha and his granddaughter Dominique for always being there to help care for Gilbert.

Gilbert was an amazing man, husband, father and grandfather and was an amazing provider for his family. He will be missed so much by so many and is loved beyond measure. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten.

Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Tuesday, January 13, from 2:00 -7:00 p.m. The Funeral Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, January 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Coyle, with Military Honors. Interment will be private.
