Timothy Bohls Obituary
May 2, 1952 - February 14, 2026
Timothy E. Bohls, Sr., of Toledo, passed on February 14, 2026, at his home. Tim was born in Toledo, Ohio, May 2, 1952, at Mercy hospital to Virgil Paul and Laura Catherine (Hosfeld) Bohls, with his twin, Thomas A. Bohls.
He attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help grade school and Bowsher high school, Class of 1970. He continued his education at BGSU intending to become an industrial arts educator.
Tim spent many years working at Toledo Mental Health Center and Northwest Ohio Developmental Center as a state certified electrician retiring from NODC. Tim was a former member of St. Jude council, 3904 Knights of Columbus, and was currently a member of St. Jerome council 11450. He also was a fourth-degree knight with Toledo assembly 807, and currently a member of Yates assembly 2800.
Tim enjoyed bowling with K of C in their Wednesday night league and attending state tournaments.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert J. James and Joseph Bohls; sister, Marie (Gerald) Banks; brothers-in-law, Darryl Campbell, Sr., John "Jack" Rospert; and sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Bohls and Patricia Newcomb.
He is survived by his children, Timothy E. Bohls, Jr. and Darah M. Bohls, of Toledo; former wife, Debbie (O'Reilly) Bohls, of Toledo; siblings, Virgil P. Bohls, Jr., of Napoleon; Carol Campbell, of Toledo; Kathy (Terry) Carney, of Colorado; Jeanne Rospert, Norwalk, OH; Thomas A. and Kitty Bohls, both of Toledo. He is also survived by 30 nieces and nephews, and many great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., Toledo, from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., with Rosary and Knights of Columbus services at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2255 Central Grove, Toledo, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Knights of Columbus charity ticket sales or any local veterans organizations in honor of Tim Sr.

So sorry to read of Tim's passing. I, also, was an electrician at NODC for a number of years and often worked alongside of Tim. He always had an easy going nature and willingness to help, and was never without a cup of coffee in his hand. Sending sincere condolences to the family.
