Gilbert DeLong Obituary
Gilbert was born January 24, 1955 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of the late Henry L. DeLong, Jr. and the late Carroll S. Dorsey. He was a construction worker for Shaw Roofing. Gilbert like watching football and being on a lake fishing. He enjoyed working on model cars and was a Christian.
Gilbert is survived by his companion of 38 years, Sharon Capps of Carrollton, children, Tonya L. Schaffer of Omaha, NE, Tracy L. Main and Francesca Booth both of Council Bluffs, Iowa, siblings, Pam Neely of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Henry DeLong III of Hastings, NE, ten grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at J. Collins Funeral Home.
In keeping with his wishes, he was cremated.
