Gibby was a 1964 graduate of Bowling Green High School. He served as a Firefighter/ Paramedic for the Lexington Kentucky Fire Department from 1973 to 1996 and retired with the rank of Major. Gibby was an avid Western Kentucky University fan and a member of the Masonic Grand Lodge of Kentucky. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Gibby is survived by his wife Lynn Grogan, daughter Kim Reynolds (Randy), his sister Rita Pierce, three brothers; Phillip Grogan (Donna), Charles Grogan and Anthony Grogan (Oiin), two granddaughters; Paige Tyson (Garrett) and Ashley Oktar (Eddie),five great grandchildren and four nephews.
Visitation at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel will be Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 2:00 until 6:00 PM and Thursday from 11:00 AM until the service time. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 20, 2025 at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel with burial to follow in Bowling Green Gardens.
