Stephen Paul Ryan, Jr., age 76, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Friday, August 1, 2025, at his residence under the care of Hospice of Southern Kentucky.

Steve was born December 7, 1948, in Oakland, CA to the late Stephen Paul Ryan, Sr., and the late Carolyn Rodrigues Ryan. He is also preceded in death by a brother, James Ryan and two sisters, Janice Bostwick and Pauline Daniel.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-three years, Mary Jo Ryan; two daughters, Jennifer Lynn Ryan Herring (James), and Michelle Lee Ryan Norton; six grandchildren, Alie, Meliya, Mark Jr. "MJ", Matthew, Jackson and Gracie; one great-grandson, Kaleo; brother Jeff Ryan (Teri); brother-in-law, Don Mott (Janet), and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Steve was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He served in the Vietnam War in the US Air Force and was a great supporter of the Veteran's Association.

Stephen loved sports and especially the Oakland Raiders, Oakland A's and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Above all, he was the proudest of his children and grandchildren.

The family has entrusted J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel with arrangements.

A Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 12 noon. Visitation will take place at 10am until time of service at 12 noon.
