Gina Maria Griffin (Born Neddo), 70, passed away on September 10, 2025 peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. Gina was born on July 22, 1955 in Brigham City, Utah to Roger and Josephine Neddo. During her childhood she grew up on a farm in Malta Idaho.
Gina met her beloved husband Martin "Marty" Griffin at BYU in Provo Utah, where she also received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Teaching on August 13, 1976. They were later married on November 19, 1976 in the Manti Utah Temple. Gina and Marty had three children Jared, Rebeccah, and Sarah.
Even though she had a few jobs on the side, they were usually working side by side with Marty. She was mostly a homemaker where She loved baking, doing crafts with her grandchildren, fishing with Marty, solving word puzzles, and spending time with her family. She also loved going on walks with Marty and their little chihuahua Chico.
Gina always had a feisty but sweet personality; she was never afraid to speak her mind and would protect her family at all costs. She was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved the gospel with all of her heart; always putting 110% percent into every calling she was ever given. Even when facing major trials in life such as different health problems, hardships impacting loved ones, or any other major hardship, her faith always stayed strong. She was loved and will be missed by many.
Gina is survived by her husband Martin "Marty" Leon Griffin as well as Jared Leon Griffin (her son), Rebeccah Marie Barnett (her daughter), and Sarah Ann Davies (her daughter). In addition, she leaves behind two brothers: Roger Neddo, Jr. and Guy Neddo. As a beloved grandmother, she is also survived by six grandchildren: Layla Lowman, Damion Barnett, Quinton Griffin, Bridger Griffin, Cruz Griffin, and Brixsten Griffin; and by two great grandchildren: Hunter & Colt Lowman.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on 19 September (Friday) at 5:00 pm at Marty & Gina's ward chapel. The address for said chapel is 6772 S 3420 W, West Jordan, UT 84084. On 20 September (Saturday), the family gathering and funeral will be held respectively at 10 and 11 am at the same location. Immediately following, she will be laid to rest at the West Jordan City Cemetery at 7925 S 1300 W, West Jordan, UT 84088.
