Gina M. Wilsford

Gina M. (York) Wilsford, 56, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025 after an unexpected medical issue. She was born on May 19, 1969, in Muncie, Indiana, and was raised by Roy E. and Betty F. York, alongside her three brothers; Gary, Roy, and Joel York.
Gina led her life by love; to her husband, two children, two stepchildren, five grandkids, and many fur babies over the years. Everyone who knew her will remember her sense of fun, the comfort food she made, and her big heart.
After graduating Southside High School, she spent most of her life caring for others as a nurse. In 1992, she married her husband Mark Wilsford, where the two were married for 33 loving years.
Outside of work, Gina loved music, her country, and her family's sense of humor. She was happiest sitting on her porch, watching family swim in her pool, or trying new snacks. Her family will cherish their weekly phone calls, nights skating, and her passion for Halloween.
Gina is survived by her mother and husband; two children, Megan Hellis and Mark T. Wilsford; her two stepsons, Daryl and Jerrod Wilsford; her grandchildren, Levi Hellis, Nora, Silas, Penelope, and Scout Wilsford; two son-in-laws, John Hellis and Austin Keller; her two stepdaughter-in-laws, Candace and Heather Wilsford; her nephews Jacob and Evan York; her niece Miranda York; her aunt, Patty York; her great-nephew, Alex York; and her beloved pets Jax, Edie, Rubby, and Salem.
She was preceded in death by her father and three brothers.
Gina's legacy will be of laughter and light. Her life was cut too short, but the years she lived were filled with music, laughter, and light. Everyone who knew and loved her will take these traits with them.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, 415 E Washington St Muncie, IN 47305. Everyone is invited to share stories and celebrate the life Gina led.
