Giuseppe DiNardo

Giuseppe "Joe" DiNardo, 74, of New Castle and formerly of Pizzoferrato, Italy passed away unexpectedly the afternoon of June 7, 2024.
Born in Pizzoferrato, Italy on January 12, 1950, Joe was the son of the late Valente and Maria Fagnilli DiNardo.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-three years, the former Elmira Lucchini. They were married on August 22, 1971.
Joe had worked at City Welding for thirty-five years. He was currently working in the maintenance department at the Lawrence County Courthouse.
He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Joe enjoyed woodworking, gardening and metal work. He was always doing jobs at home and for others. Joe always paid attention to detail and his craftsmanship was flawless. There wasn't a job he couldn't do. Joe also enjoyed making wine, champagne and Italian delicacies. A loving husband, father, and grandfather Joe's greatest joy was spending time with his family. He especially loved watching his grandchildren with all of their activities.
In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his children, Daniel DiNardo (Andrea) and Carlo DiNardo (Kristen), his sister, Rosa DiNardo of Pizzoferrato, Italy, three brother-in-laws, Antonio Lucchini (Elmira), Graziano Lucchini (Teresa) and Carmine Lucchini, two sister-in-laws, Beatrice Fiorante (Felix) and Loreta Tarantini of Francavilla, Italy, five grandchildren, Nina, Adriana, Evan, Carly and Nico, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Alberto DiNardo, his brother-in-law, Antonio Posalpi and nephews, Gianni "John" Lucchini and Andrea DiNardo.
Visitation will be on Tuesday 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
A procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Father Benjamin Barr will officiate.
Entombment will be in Parkside Mausoleum.
