Roy Lee Lowe, 78, of New Castle passed away on August 5, 2025 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born in Rockingham, NC on November 25, 1946, Roy was the son of the late Sam Lowe and Verttie Mae Miller Lowe.

Roy had worked for U.S. Steel in the battery department for many years.

Roy was a member of Prevailing Word Outreach Center and Elks Lodge #324. He loved the outdoors, going hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles. Roy was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football, basketball and baseball. Roy's greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.

Roy is survived by his children, Roy Johnson, Sherri Richardson, Indigo Lowe, Edward Lowe (Vernecia), Jason Kraner, Jocelyn Lowe, Alaina Lowe, Bryce Lowe, Teneke Wisc, Olivia Holmes, Ron Holmes, Tamesha Jackson, Felishia Kimbrough and Ron Lance, two siblings, Betty Lowe and William Pendergrass, two Goddaughters, Doreatha Bailey and Renee Cocoa Price, thirty-five grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his siblings, Luther Lowe, Lorenzo Lowe, Peggy Richardson, Joann Watlington, Violet Washington, Mary Kinlaw, Frances Parson, Maxine Davis and Cynthia Pendergrass.

Visitation will be on Tuesday 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A Funeral Service will follow on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Joseph Gunn officiating.
