Giuseppe Dominic Tassone

Giuseppe "Joe" Tassone, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on March 11, 1968, in New Rochelle, New York, Joe's life was a testament to kindness, loyalty, and community spirit.
Joe was married to Stephanie "Stevie" Tassone on October 10, 1998 and together they had two children, Adrianna and Dante where they were a resident of Salt Point, NY for nearly 25 years. Joe is survived by his sister, Maria Bizzarro and brother-in-law, Eugenio Bizzarro and their children Savanna and Saverio of Rock Hill, SC; sister-in-law Jennifer Fitzgerald and brother-in-law Dean Fitzgerald and their children Kellen and Erin of Melbourne FL, and many cousins.
Although Joe previously worked in the corporate environment as an IT Help Desk Technician / Supervisor for Community Health Plan (CHP) and Kaiser Permanente and as the IT Help Desk Manager for Heineken USA, he most recently had his own business as an IT Consultant for many local small businesses. He was good at his job and helped keep many businesses running, while making many friends along the way.
Joe had a deep love for sports-especially soccer, football, and baseball-and nothing brought him more joy than watching his kids play soccer as they grew up. He shared that passion with friends by participating in numerous fantasy sports leagues over the years, always bringing his competitive spirit and good humor. He loved to spend an evening watching the NY Yankees, a Sunday afternoon watching a Dallas Cowboys football game or any AC Milan soccer match with family or friends; or take a trip to see a game in person.
Family and friends were everything to Joe and loved to spend time with them as often as he could. He had a warm, generous heart and a smile that could brighten anyone's day. Whether it was lending a helping hand or simply being present, Joe was always there for those who needed him. He was a proud and active member of his community, always willing to go the extra mile for others. Joe's friends were incredibly supportive during his illness and stood by him and his family until the very end.
Joe's presence will be deeply missed, but the love and joy he brought into the world will live on in all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
