Funeral services for Gladys Faye Bennett will be held Monday, October 13, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Okemah, Oklahoma.
Gladys Faye Bennett was born December 23, 1933, in Okemah, Oklahoma to Clarence L. Tillery and Mattie Rose (Glasco) Tillery. She passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025, in Okemah, Oklahoma at the age of 91
Gladys was an Okemah resident all of her life. At an early age she met the love of her life, Billy Wayne Bennett. To this union 5 children were born, one son, and four daughters. Gladys worked at Wrangler Plant for many years in Okemah. She enjoyed most of all going to church. She also enjoyed shopping, taking vacations, talking about the Lord, and she was known to be a jokester.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy Wayne Bennett, her son, Bobby Wayne Bennett, and one granddaughter, Veronica Bennett. She is also preceded in death by five brothers, Leon Tillery, Johnnie Tillery, Melvin Tillery, Marvin "Bozzy" Tillery, and Donnie Tillery. Also preceded by 7 sisters, Ruby Fuller, Bessie McCormick, Freda Wind, Betty Smith, Delois Smith, Donna Sue Tillery, and Opal Smith.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon and Glen Siler of Okemah, Karen and Dale Howeth of Okemah, Connie and Billy Henry of Okemah, and Billie Beaver and Kenny Jestice of Weleetka; one sister, Katie Dennis of Okemah. She is also survived by daughter-in-law Anna Bennett of Okemah; sister-in laws Dorothy Bennett, and Elaine Tillery both of Okemah. Also survived by 13 grandkids, 26 great grand kids, and 17 great-great grand kids, along with a host of nieces, nephews, & friends.
Active pallbearers will be Colt Henry, Dillion Beaver, Tanner Griffin, Robert Darnell, Barry Bennett, and Newt Kenneda.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Race Casey, Tyce Clark, and Maggie Darnell.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma and officiated by Sister Charlsie Rich.
