Obituary published on Legacy.com by Woody Home for Services on Jul. 18, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Raised in a close-knit, faith-filled household, Gladys attended Glenfield Elementary School and graduated from Montclair High School in 1958. She was a bright and disciplined student, who found true joy in the quiet order of reading, writing, and arithmetic-her academic "happy place."
Following high school, Gladys entered the workforce with determination and diligence, holding positions at Bell Telephone Company and IM Singer & Co. in Newark. She was known for her sharp mind, quiet strength, and unwavering commitment-quatities she caried through both her professional and personal life.
Gladys had a quiet, unwavering devotion to family. She never forgot a birthday and always appreciated being celebrated-especially on her own. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and though she wasn't one for grand displays of affection, her presence alone was a gift of warmth and consistency.
Gladys was a private soul who never sought attention and would likely prefer her departure be met without great fanfare. Still, the depth of her impact is undeniable.
Gladys' life was one of quiet strength, fierce loyalty, and family devotion. She will be missed, and forever remembered.
