Gladys Faye Heldt-Vester, 84, passed away on February 19, 2025, in Lakewood, Colorado. Born on August 21, 1940, in Puyallup, Washington, Gladys was the daughter of Irene Landaker Otis Wilson and Fred Snider. She was a devoted mother to Charles Vester, John Vester, Julie Adame, Sara (David) Pascale, Christopher Heldt, and Amanda (James) Vershum. She also cherished her grandchildren, Mico and Monique Abeyta and Isaac Adame; Sidney, Raven, Kaden, Riley, and Ricky Pascale; and Emma Heldt, as well as her great-granddaughter Lola Marquez. She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, Ronald Vester and Brian Heldt; her son, Steven Vester; and her brothers Jim Wilson and Darl Wilson. Gladys found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved playing Bingo at the Depot in Fallon where she lived half her life and never missed an episode of 'The Price Is Right'. She had the enjoyment of dancing, even in her wheelchair. She loved food and she loved going to church every week; her faith remained a guiding force. Although she lost the ability to speak in later years, she could still sing 'Amazing Grace' with ease. Her presence was a gift to all who knew her. People couldn't help but smile when she was near; her joy for life was truly contagious. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her.
