Gladys Ruth McKamie

Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Ruth McKamie will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2023, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, with Pastor Scott Tassin officiating. Interment will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Woodworth, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mrs. Gladys, 91, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Monday, October 16, 2023, in her residence with her loving family by her side.
Gladys was an amazing mother, wife, and grandmother. Amongst her many hobbies and passions in life, she dearly loved fishing, sewing, playing cards, gardening, and bowling, but was especially known for her amazing cooking abilities. She was blessed to have remained active and energetic throughout her life. Family was very important to Gladys. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert J. "Bobby" Tassin and Donald H. McKamie; her parents, Grant and Mollie Frith; two daughters, Barbara Ann Oren and Jennifer Lynn Stuckey; four brothers, L.G. Frith, Billy Frith, Johnny Frith, and Collis Frith; two sisters, Syble Hightower and Mary Gutierrez; and one grandchild, David Duncan.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include three sons, Chris Stuckey of Australia, Robby Tassin (Gail) of Caney Lake, and Scott Tassin (BJ) of Bella Vista, Arkansas; three daughters, Elaine Whiteside of Pineville, Darline Alexander (Mark) of Alpine, Alabama, and Robyn Ray (Clay) of Alexandria; sixteen grandchildren, Chris Duncan, Jamie Stuckey, Jessica Cooper, James Whiteside, Joel Whiteside, Robert Tassin, Joseph Tassin, Clint Bordelon, Caitlin Dauzat, Trey Ray, Jordan Ray, Kelsie Ray, Camron Ray, Stevie Scott, Nick Scott, and Monica Sweeney; and many great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Jamie Whiteside, Trey Ray, Robert Tassin, Mark Alexander, Clay Ray, and Robby Tassin.
The family would like to thank the staff of Harbor Hospice and Marigold Place, and special thanks to her caregivers, Kim Lachney, Dell Rachal, and Jessica Warner for their loving care given to Gladys.
