Gladys Sauers Obituary

Gladys graduated from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Springfield, and went on to work as a nurse, retiring from Memorial Medical Center.
Gladys is survived by her brother, Donald Brown; nieces and nephews, Reta Meyer, Thomas Meyer Jr., Mary Stapleton, Lamont Meyer, Ida Taylor, Daryl Dority, Susan Kohl, Jeff Brown and cousin, Debbie Kuhns.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 20, from 10:00AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church 705 E. Menard Street, in Riverton. Pastor Michael Koschmann will officiate and burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Riverton, or to Springfield Memorial Hospital.
Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home in Mechanicsburg is in charge of arrangements.

We are so sorry to hear about Gladys! We feel really bad but we can´t make it to the services because of prior commitments. We enjoyed having her as our neighbor! We remember about six months after Bob and Gladys moved in, Bob told us they had never had neighbors before and weren´t sure about it. He said they changed their minds and really liked having neighbors. The cutest thing Gladys ever told me was that she was worried she wouldn´t have any violets in Riverton. So she dug some up at her old home and brought them with her! :-). We really miss her! She was such a sweet lady! Sending hugs and prayers!
