She was born on February 5th, 1941, in Alton, Illinois. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Willard Dooley and Frankie (Price) Collins, and her brother Willard (Bucky) Dooley Jr.
Gladys spent most of her adult life in the Chicago area. She ran her own cleaning service and waitressed in numerous establishments before becoming an administrative assistant for Discover Financial Services. She retired and moved to Eureka Springs, Arkansas, with her companion Richard Hansen. Upon his death, she returned to Illinois to be close to her family.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Dawn and Mark Bellen of Victoria, Texas, Mike and Liz Towell of Fieldon, Illinois, and Cheryl and Tom Henrichsen of Woodstock, Illinois; seven grandchildren; Bill and Rachael Towell , Mark and Ashley Young, Nick and Renee Towell, Jeremy and Shauna Bellen, Cyndi Iverson, Lauren and Buddy Villarreal and Michael Bellen; thirteen great grandchildren: Zachary, Alexandra and Daniel, Emily, Aiden, Summer, Alakhai, Mckenzie, Ava, Colton, James, Walker, and Vincent.
There will be a private celebration of life at a late date.
