GLEN RAY BATES, AGE 68

To

And a resident of Pine passed away Wednesday evening February 11, 2026 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He had different jobs during his life including working at Pine Hardware for many years. Glen loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and had taken his son to many outdoor events through the years, like turkey-shoots and others. Glen was also a talented self-taught gunsmith. He would work on, clean and repair guns for his friends and family. He also sharpened hunting and other large knives. After his health kept him indoors, Glen would watch many outdoor shows on TV. Hunting shows, cast-iron cooking and outdoor reality TV were some of his favorites. He always enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
