Cumberland, MD- Glen Bernard Burdette, 56, of Cumberland, MD passed away on September 18, 2025 after a brief illness.

Born June 27, 1969 in Cheverly, MD, to Frank Bernard Burdette and the late Barbara Karen Burdette.

Glen is survived by his fiancée: Shannon Nicole Amato; his dog: Moose; and his cat: Twitch. He is also survived by his father: Frank Burdette (Gail), of Reading, PA; his siblings: Karyn Kelsey (Mike) of Hernando, FL; Lynda Schneider (Paul) of Mt. Airy, MD; and Brian Burdette (Shannon) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL. In addition, Glen will be remembered by his niece: Regina Soria (Robert), of Inverness, FL; nephew: Donny Schneider (Ashley), of Mt. Airy, MD; and many cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Glen was preceded in death by his mother: Barbara Burdette; a brother: Steve Burdette; and his beloved dogs: Zoe, Jazz, and Shelby.

Glen was a graduate of Glenelg High School Class of 1987. He spent most of his life in Maryland, with some time spent in North Myrtle Beach, SC, near the ocean he loved so much. He was an animal lover and advocate and served for a time as President of the Board at Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS).

Glen was also the owner/broker of Home Source Realty in Sykesville, MD and Operating Partner of MD Vapor, LLC in Thurmont, MD. He was an avid movie buff, with his favorite being "The Big Lebowski".

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory to the animal charity or rescue of your choice.
