Glen Owen Obituary

Glen was preceded in death by his father Glen Owen, Sr., his mother Frances Owen, and a grandson Stephen Terrell. He survived by his spouse Helen Owen, sister Carol Lanham of Overland Park, KS, daughter Elisabeth Williams (husband Norman), son Michael Owen (wife Amy), and daughter Sandra Terrell (husband Danny Terrell, Sr.). Glen is also survived by and super proud of his grandchildren Alicia, April, Michael Jr., Danielle, Matthew, Nicholas, Danny Jr., Dustin, and Dylan. He also has 11 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Glen was a proud long haul truck driver for over 40 years, logging over 3 million miles. Not wanting to retire, he opened Owen Tie Yard in 1984. He tried retirement again 20 years later, with it only lasting 2 months before he opened Owen Rentals. Glen developed many business relationships over the years that turned into friendships that he truly cherished. Glen believed in hard work and was working 6 days a week until 2 weeks before his death. He was a long-time member of Charity Baptist Church.

We were so truly saddened to hear of Glen's death. May the God of all comfort grace the Owen's family with strength and new mercies during their bereavement. How befitting that his homegoing was on Independence Day. We give thanks today for his military service . Rest in peace from all your labors. Humbly submitted by the Williams family.
