Glen Rohrs Jr. was born on March 17, 1960, in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was the son of Glen Henry Rohrs Sr. and Mildred Pauline (Terry) Rohrs. Glen graduated from South Tama High School in 1978. On June 26, 2010, Glen was united in marriage to his great love, Kellie Reno.
Glen had many passions and loves. He loved his job and had worked at Pioneer for over thirty-four years as a plant supervisor. He was somewhat of a "legend" at Pioneer, as he trained and mentored many young men over the years. In 1994 he spent two months in Africa, teaching village people all he knew about growing corn. He also made many of these trips to Washington and Florida. From the time he could drive, Glen always had a big jacked up Ford Truck. Always one of his pride and joys. He enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, boating and mushroom hunting and just any activity outdoors.
Seven years ago, Glen suffered a brain injury which significantly changed his life. It was filled with many challenges and his wife Kellie was always there to support and help him through each challenge.
Glen is survived by his wife of 14 years, Kellie; his loving son, Brock and his wife, Karen Rohrs; and his grandchildren, Braxten and Bralynn. Glen was also a loving, caring stepfather to Jeremy, Jake, Marissa and Sarah. And step-grandchildren: Serenity, Aiden, Ryder, Novaleigh, Aspen, Hemi, Piper and Zoey. Glen is also survived by siblings: Betty Winsor, Mesa, AZ and Terry Rohrs Stephenson, Montour, Iowa along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and aunt.
Glen is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
