Glen Schattschneider Obituary
Glen was born August 14, 1936, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he lived there until the 60's when he moved to New Mexico. Throughout the years, Glen lived in Elida and Clovis. He started Shot's Tree Trimming in Clovis in the 80's, his son Mark joined the business in '83. Glen started Shot's Winter Wonderland in the late 80's where it continued for about 10 years, the event is still talked about today. When Glen retired about 10 years ago, he moved back to Elida until 2014 when his health started declining. Mark and Sylvia took care of him until two years ago when he went in the nursing home. Shot loved to go dancing, playing the accordion, and organ. He spent a lot of time with Skylir and Allisen (granddaughter). Skylir always made sure he ate and Allisen played the organ with him. Glen also enjoyed watching the softball games with Mark and Sylvia.
Glen is survived by; his son, Mark (Sylvia) of Clovis, daughter: Janice (Dewitt) of Sudan TX, 5 grandkids: Daniel (Alex) Johnson of Muleshoe TX, Mendy (Scott) Welch from North Carolina, Samantha (Neil) Cornell of Kentucky, 9 great grandkids: Skylir, Allisen, Waylon, Sydney, Cody, Stormy, Jerry, Stockton, Henslee and a niece Savanah Schattschneider. He is preceded in death by; his parents, his son; Mike, 5 brothers, and 5 sisters.
Honorary friends Bob and Claudia Burch, special thank you to Missy Wilson for helping take care of Glen.

I was surprised to find out that his Christmas Wonderland went on for only 10 years. Glen and his love of community made such an impact, I still talk about him today to tell of the joy he shared when he could.

I was blessed to meet Glen when I was a teenager through a family friend. He was always a kind man with a smile on his face. I loved going to his Winter wonderland, by myself or with my kids. A man with a huge heart full of love. Thank you for the years of smiles, blessings of your kindness and the memories so many now have.
To Glen's family..my thoughts and prayers are with you. I pray you have a Peace, Love and comfort only Christ can give at this time. May your memories and his love for you all continue to flood your life. God bless
