Glen Wilbur Wagner, 89, of Vega, TX passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.

Viewing in Amarillo will be from Noon-5:00 p.m., Saturday, July 26, 2025, and Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Amarillo, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Viewing in Vega will be from Noon-6:00 p.m., Monday, July 28, 2025, with family visitation from 4-6:00 p.m., at Boxwell Brothers at Vega, 110 Main St., Vega, TX.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Vega Methodist Church with Kirk Watson officiating. Burial will follow at Palo Duro Cemetery in Wildorado, TX.

Glen was born on November 12, 1935, in Amarillo, TX, to Wilbur and Dorothy (Ladehoff) Wagner. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1954.

He married Marilyn J. Allen at Tenth Avenue Methodist Church in Amarillo on December 11, 1960. She preceded him in death in 2009.

Since the 1960s, Glen was an active member of Vega Methodist Church, where he served on various boards and enjoyed those potluck meals. For Glen, farming was not just a way of life, it was his life! Glen was a talented individual who could build anything. Additionally, he was a member, and on the Board of Directors of the Vega Wheat Growers Association.

Glen was easily recognizable in his Big Mac overalls, which earned him the nickname "Big Mac."

He was also preceded in death by his son, Douglas Alan Wagner, his brother, Gary R. Wagner and wife Elwanda; and his sister-in-law, Lyndal Wagner.

Survivors include his sons, Glen William Wagner, and David Lee Wagner and wife Linda; brothers, Lee A. Wagner and wife Tomi, and Lyndon E. Wagner; daughter-in-law, Kelly Wagner; grandchildren, J.W. Wagner and wife Becky, Janie Wagner, Jaci Roberson and husband Ronnie, Joni Wagner, Craig Wagner and wife Amy, Daniel Wagner, Melissa Crossland and husband Brady, Garrett Wagner and wife Miranda, Forest Wagner, and Haley Wagner; great-grandchildren, Shayli Wagner, Cole Wagner, Easton Wagner, Savanna Wagner, Kalley Crossland, Kinley Crossland, Levi Wagner, and Luke Wagner; double cousins, Orville Ladehoff, and Harolena and husband George Powell; cousin, Debra Wagner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at The Ware and BSA Hospice Care of the Southwest for their excellent care, as well as to the Prayer Town Nuns for their visits.
