Linda Moore Obituary
Linda Kay Moore, 76, of Vega, TX passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Christ Community Fellowship in Vega, TX followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers at Vega.
Linda was born January 6, 1949, in Hale Center, TX to Alex and Faye Poovey. She graduated from Cotton Center High School. Linda married Gary Moore on June 10, 1979, in Gary’s parent’s home in Plainview, TX.
She loved to paint, teach elementary music, and for many years she enjoyed being the flag team sponsor. She retired from the gift shop she owned and operated in Vega and became a homemaker. Linda loved her family, especially her grandkids. She loved ministering and sharing her faith with each person she met. Linda was a long-time member of Christ Community Fellowship.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and her sister Theta Tate.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Moore; children, David Moore, and Justin Moore and wife JJ; grandkids, Gannon, Kale, and Hagen Moore; sister, Sylvia Poovey Bockelman; brother-in-law, Doug Moore, and wife Susan; and many nieces and nephews.
