Mother Glenda Lafaye Burden was born on December 22, 1946, to the late Clifford Guider, Sr., and the late Adel Guider in Concord, Georgia. She answered the Master's call to rest from her labor to reward on January 8, 2025. Mother Burden graduated from Pike County Consolidated High School in Concord, Georgia.
Ms. Glenda Guider met the love of her life Mr. Linwood Burden, and was united in holy matrimony on March 12, 1967, in Concord, Georgia. Their union was blessed with three beautiful daughters.
Mother Burden accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was united with Joyful Tabernacle of Praise Church in Concord, Georgia. She served as member of the local and National Pure Holiness Church Usher Board, President of the JTP Mother Board, President and Founder of the Willing Workers Choir, Women In Ministry leader, Hospitality Committee, and leader of the Intercessory Prayer team of JTP.
Mother Burden enjoyed shopping, traveling, gardening, and planting flowers each year in her yard, attending her grandchildren extracurricular activities, cooking being known for her infamous chicken salad, lemonade and homemade biscuits. She enjoyed cooking for her brother. She loved her family and grandchildren dearly as they were her pride and joy. Prayer was apart of her everyday life. She loved Jesus and her church family. Her most precious time were spent with her husband and three daughters.
