Glenda Gaye Smith, 62, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at her home.
Born April 18, 1963, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Eugene L. Cohenour and Catherine L. (Whitsel) Cohenour Stout.
She is survived by her husband, Ord H. Smith, five children, Richie (Buffie) Lauver of Thompsontown, Dana Smith of Thompsontown, Dezyreé (Josh) Hoover of Richfield, Alicia (Harry) Schiech, Liverpool, and Brittnie (Josh) Davidson, Mifflintown, and seven siblings, Sheree (Mike) Foose, Charlotte (Neil) Swartz, Kenton (Wendy) Cohenour, Martin Cohenour, Barton Cohenour, Michael (Leslie) Cohenour, and Jennifer Ernest.
Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren, Dakota, Quentin, Pearce, Alyssa, Adelina, Ayden, Alannah, Eli, Emma, Aubrey, Delilah, Owen, Jax, and Azariah, and four great-grandchildren, Emerie, Paisley, Archer, and Sterling.
Glenda retired from Hempt Brothers where she worked more than 30 years in road construction.
She loved spending time with her family as they were the most important thing to her. She lived for her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She enjoyed antiquing and auctions and found great joy in rescuing animals.
Her viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown. There will be no formal service.
In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a donation in Glenda's name to the Juniata County Food Pantry, PO Box 44, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
