Glenn R. Adelman

Glenn R. Adelman, age 75, of Johnstown, NY, a cherished husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away peacefully at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY, on February 27, 2025.
He was the son of the late Morris and Ruth (Cramer) Adelman and predeceased by is sister Diane Orloff.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Linda (Beaudin) Adelman whom he married on June 11, 1972; his children, Julie Risley (Jason) and Bryan Adelman (Laura); grandchildren Olivia, James, Julian, Jacob, Jaidyn, and Jamey; and sister, Margaret "Peggy" Livingstone (Christopher).
A respected teacher for 33 years at the New York State Office of Children and Family Services Tryon School, Glenn dedicated his life to teaching and mentoring troubled youth. Outside the classroom, he enjoyed golfing as an active member of Pine Brook Golf Club and bowling in local leagues. He loved to play tennis, pickleball, and basketball. Glenn was a life-long fan of the New York Giants and New York Knicks.
Glenn's grandchildren were his pride and joy. He loved being involved in their lives and passions. He always brought out a smile on their faces cracking a "Papa Joke" or pun.
He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his family and friends.
In keeping with his wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be determined by the family.
