Buch Funeral Home & Cremation Services - LititzGlenn W. Brubaker, 74, of East Hempfield Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Lititz, Glenn was the son of the late C. Halbert and Martha Wissler Brubaker. He shared a 53-year marriage with his wife, Virginia L. (Bomberger) Brubaker,-- a testament to a partnership rooted in faith, devotion, and commitment.
A 1971 graduate of Manheim Township High School, Glenn went on to build more than a business — he built a reputation. For over five decades, he was the proud owner and operator of Glenn W. Brubaker Excavating. Known for his strong work ethic and the kind of reliability that earned lifelong customers and friends, Glenn took pride in honest work. His long-standing membership in the Inter-County Contractors Association reflected his dedication to the trade.
As a lifelong, devoted member of Long Memorial United Methodist Church in Neffsville, he offered his time, support, and steady presence to his church.
Glenn was a family man. Nothing meant more to him than time spent with Virginia, his children, and his grandchildren. Whether gathered around the table, sharing stories, or simply enjoying one another’s company, those moments were his greatest joy. In quieter hours, he could often be found tending his vegetable garden — planting, cultivating, and harvesting with the same diligence and care he gave to every other part of his life. He enjoyed passing on those skills and life lessons to his children, and more importantly his grandchildren.
Glenn will be remembered for his hardworking spirit and the deep roots he planted in both his community and his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Virginia are three daughters: Marie wife of Jeffrey Reed, Ellen wife of Brian Kohler, Lauren wife of Zachary Moore, five grandchildren: Charles, Lillian, Josephine, Avery, Wesley, a brother, Dale W. Brubaker, and a sister, Mary Ann Brubaker. Preceding him in death are two brothers: Halbert Brubaker Jr. and Barry Brubaker.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Glenn’s graveside service at the Long Memorial United Methodist Cemetery, 2660 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, (Neffsville) on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Glenn’s memory to: Water Street Rescue Mission.
