Obituary for Glenn H. Jones, D.C.
Glenn H. Jones, D.C., 70, Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away November 25, 2024. Born October 20, 1954, in Fort Pierce, Florida. He was the son of Harold Jones and Dorothy Jorgensen Jones.
Glenn earned degrees from Indian River Community College, the University of Florida, Clayton College of Clinical Nutrition, and Palmer College of Chiropractic. He was a Chiropractic Physician since 1978 and worked as Staff Chiropractor at Family Care and Associates from 1994 to 1998. His professional credentials were extensive. A Diplomate of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, an Independent Medical Examiner, and an Expert Medical Witness since 1981. He held certifications in acupuncture and disability evaluation. He was a Certified Sports Physician and a Fellow of the American Council of Applied Clinical Nutrition. Additionally, Glenn served as a consultant on test development and licensing examinations for the Florida Department of Health since 1998. He contributed to the Florida Committee for the Adoption of Chiropractic Practice Guidelines and Parameters, published in 1997.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 30 years, Rebecca Stafford Jones; sons, Bryce (Dawn) of Boca Raton and Logan (Claire McHugh) of Boston; daughter, Carly Beth Maide, (Steven) of Hackensack, NJ; and grandchildren, Cooper and Reagan Jones, Boca Raton, and Aiden and Aryan Jones, Rock Springs, Wyoming. He is also survived by his sisters, Susan Myers (Billy) and Joyce Baxter (Calvin), and brothers, David (Junko) and Bruce Jones. Mother-in-law, Beth Stafford of Lansing, North Carolina.
An avid fisherman and golfer, Glenn was known for coaching and supporting his children's sports events. He had a love for college football, famously believing wedding season should avoid the fall. He cherished camping trips with his family during their early years. Known for his storytelling and a great sense of humor, Glenn would often brighten the room with laughter, punctuated by his memorable knee slaps.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Dorothy Jones, as well as his daughter, Aubrey Jones, and son, Jason Jones, both of Rock Springs, Wyoming.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
