Glenn Edward Mullis, 79, of Stanfield, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023 at home.
Glenn was born June 8, 1943 in North Carolina to the late Barney Benson Mullis and the late Minnie Emily Mullis.
He was also preceded in death by wife, Phyllis Mullis; infant daughter, Pamela Gail; brothers, Warren, Rex and Leroy Mullis; and sister, Ruby Mullis.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Prospect Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 2pm, officiated by Pastor Stoney Benfield and Pastor Ray Johnson. Burial will follow at Oakboro Cemetery at 1397 North Main Street, Oakboro.
Glenn was an honorary member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He enjoyed blessing others through the Christian Cooking Convoy. Glenn enjoyed going to the coast for deep sea fishing. He also enjoyed working as a mechanic and a truck driver. Glenn was always busy and Resourceful and never had an idle moment because he enjoyed working and serving others. Glenn was a man of faith and will be missed by all who knew him, but now he finds rest in the arms of his Lord and savior whom he loves.
Survivors include, daughters, Tamara (Jimmy) Pickler, Jane (Joey) Wittman, Cathy Gardner, Tina (Larry) Millen; granddaughters, Brandie (Susan Fitch) Helms , Ashley (John) Smith, Holly Strickland, Stacey (Kyle) Smith, Jamie Millen, April Millen; grandson, Cody (Sydney) Wittman; and many beloved great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Rita Little and Diane Paige; and brother, Archie Mullis.
Memorials may be made to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital or charity of your choice.
