Glenn Stapp, Jr., age 53, of Terry, Mississippi, passed away on March 1, 2026. He was born on October 16, 1972.
Glenn was a diesel mechanic who took great pride in his work and had a deep love for trucks and engines. If something had a motor, Glenn likely knew how to fix it or enjoyed talking about it. He loved spending time outdoors mowing the yard, visiting with friends, and sharing a good meal with those around him. Glenn also had a special place in his heart for his dogs, whom he affectionately called his “babies.”
Those who knew Glenn knew he had a big heart and was always willing to help the people he loved. He was especially devoted to his family and would do anything for his sister. Glenn will be remembered for his loyalty, his love for simple moments in life, and the time he spent talking and laughing with friends and family.
He is survived by his loving mother, Nancy Stapp; his sister, Anita Johnson; and his brother-in-law, James Duncan. He also leaves behind three nieces, Kailyn Duncan, Erika (David) Brooks, and Angie (Brad) Partridge, and three nephews, Shane (Joy) Duncan, Scott (Shelby) Johnson, and Perry (Brandi) Johnson. Glenn is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Stapp, Sr.; his sister, Teresa Duncan; his maternal grandparents, Ruby Hynum and Lawrence Hynum; and his paternal grandparents, Alan Stapp and Janice Stapp.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM in the chapel, with Richard Cothern officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Woods, Scott Johnson, Dalton Johnson, Kade Johnson, Cleo Harvey, Henry Moorhead “Tire Man,” and Jerry Harvey, Jr.
