Age 58, late of Lockport passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 11, 2024. Born in Chicago, lived in Oak Lawn, and resident of Lockport for many years. Retired from Stateville Correctional Center where he was a dedicated officer for 20 years. He was also employed as a Security officer at Joliet Central High School. An avid Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. He was a very simple man and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Preceded in by his, parents, Frank and Casimira (Nee Rytkowski) Sternal; and a sister, Sherry Peterson.
Survived by his loving wife, Lisa (Nee O'Brien) Sternal; one brother, Larry (Debbie) Sternal; devoted step children, Ryan Weisner, Paige Weisner, and Alexis Weisner; adored nieces and nephews, Dennis Peterson, Mary Peterson, Michelle (Dan) Perham, and Scott (Katie) Sternal; great nieces and nephew, Sebastian Sternal, Olivia Perham, and Emily Perham; brother-in-law, Dennis Peterson; and many cherished friends.
Per Glenn's wishes Cremation Rites were respectfully addressed.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9th St. Lockport, IL 60441, from 1:00pm until time of Service at 2:00pm.
