Glenna Nash Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by James & Gahr Mortuary - Salem on Jan. 8, 2026.
Glenna Faye Nash, of Rolla, Missouri, formerly of Salem, Missouri, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the age of 96.

Glenna was born in Shannon County, Missouri, on March 30, 1929, to the late James and Carrie (Brawley) Woolf. After graduating from high school, she enrolled in college with the goal of becoming a schoolteacher. After attending one year, she met the love of her life, William E. "Bill" Nash. They were married on June 10, 1947, and this union was blessed with four children.

Bill and Glenna shared 55 wonderful years of marriage before Bill's passing in 2002. Glenna was a devoted wife and mother. Her children often reflect on the loving care she gave their father, especially during his illness. The thought of placing him in the care of others never crossed her mind-she lovingly cared for him from the first day of their marriage until his final day on earth.

Glenna deeply loved her family and was an exceptionally good cook, especially known and loved for her homemade pies. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a true prayer warrior, faithfully praying for those suffering from addiction, illness, or hardship-no matter the circumstance. She exemplified the virtuous woman described in Scripture, drawing her strength from her unwavering faith and godly values. Her life was a testimony of wisdom, service, and love, encouraging others to let their inner strength shine as they honored God and uplifted those around them.

She loved studying her Bible and sharing the love of the Lord with everyone she met.

Glenna is survived by her children: Lanny Nash and wife Marilyn, Larry Nash and wife Debbie, and Brenda Brown and husband Jason, all of Rolla, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Shirley Nash, of KS; grandchildren: William Nash III (April), Kimberly Blevins (Rick), Lanny Nash II (Ashley), Guston Deimund, Amanda Whistler (Jeremy), Aleshia Henson (Scotty), Allana Berti (Damon), Jeremy Brown (Andrea), and Jordan Brown (Grace); along with a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Glenna was preceded in death by her son William "Butch" Nash JR; grandson Jason Brown Jr.; sisters Virginia Rollins and Golda (Burns) Williams; and brothers Paul Woolf and Tony Woolf.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the Salem Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary, with Pastor Bill Stack officiating. Interment will follow at North Lawn Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, William E. Nash.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at the chapel on Sunday prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. until service time.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Salem Full Gospel Church; cards are available at all James & Gahr locations.
