Gloria Lorraine Bramer, 103, of Iron Mountain, MI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2025, as she was called home to be with the Lord.
Born on September 29, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Susie (Geromel) Tondin. A proud graduate of Iron Mountain High School's class of 1939, Gloria spent her life as a devoted member of the community. On November 29, 1941, she married Roland J. Bramer at Immaculate Conception Church, where they both worshiped faithfully. Gloria worked more than 20 years as a secretary at R.G. Joiner Construction Company, retiring in 1987.
Her dedication to her community was evident through her involvement in numerous organizations. Gloria held leadership roles in Beta Sigma Nu Sorority, serving as vice president and later as president. She was also an active member of the Daughters of Isabella and contributed her time as a board member for Friends of the Museum. She enjoyed traveling and playing cards, especially with her cherished bridge club. In later years, she spent her time reading, crocheting, solving word puzzles, and enjoying football.
Gloria is lovingly remembered by her two cousins, Fr. Eugene (Alicia) Geromel Jr. of Swartz Creek, MI, and Terry Allen Geromel of Ocala, FL, along with several dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roland, her sister Ann Kell, and her special companion Bob Crandall.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain, MI. A service will follow at 11 a.m at the funeral home, officiated by Fr. Gene Geromel. Gloria will be laid to rest at Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.
