Gloria June Coulter, formerly of Canon City, Colorado passed away on Friday, October 3rd, 2025 in Logan, Kansas. She was born in August 1950 to James Archie and Lillian Edna (Parks) Minks in Washington, Missouri. She had an older brother, Robert Dale and twin younger brothers, Roy Eugene and Ronald Earl. The family moved to Colorado in September 1957, intending on settling in Gunnison, but stopped short in Florence due to vehicle problems. Gloria grew up in the Florence and Canon City area of Colorado. In 1967, she married Ivan John Coulter Jr. They welcomed three sons; Theodore James in 1969, Robert Joseph in 1970, and Shawn Jay in 1977, before divorcing in 1991.

Gloria was predeceased by her dad, mom, brothers Robert and Roy, her son Theodore, a nephew, and a grandnephew. She is survived by her brother Ron and his wife Cindy, her sons Robert and Shawn, numerous grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and their extended families.

Gloria worked for 20 years at Estes Industries in their Model Rocket Division in Penrose, Colorado. After Colorado legalized gambling, she became a Black Jack dealer in Cripple Creek, Colorado. She really loved the personal interaction with her customers when she dealt Black Jack. Her career was cut short in 1995 when she suffered a medical situation which left her with limited cognitive capabilities and some physical challenges. In 2006, she moved to Logan, Kansas to live with her brother Robert. She became a resident at Logan Manor in 2013 when her brother was unable to care for her any longer. Always willing to lend a hand, as a resident, Gloria sometimes helped out with chores.

Gloria was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. In general she was a loving and compassionate person. She loved the mountains of Colorado and participated in lots of rugged activities like camping, fishing, and boating.

Throughout their childhood, her brothers were very familiar with what they called "The Look", which indicated that she was angry or unhappy with something or someone in her immediate vicinity. She was never one to hold her tongue, so you always knew where you stood with her.

A private family service will be held at a later date with burial in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Logan.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Logan Manor c/o Logan Funeral Home, PO Box 563, Phillipsburg, KS 67661.
