Gloria Favero, age 86, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on August 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Gloria was born on February 18, 1938, to Janko and Mary Kolenko in Batavia, NY. She spent many years working as a dedicated secretary where she was known for her professionalism and exceptionally fast typing skills. After retirement at age 50, her greatest joy came from nurturing 3 generations – from her own children to her great-grandchildren. Her dedication to her family was unwavering, and her home was always a warm and welcoming place. She brought joy and laughter to everyone around her and was cherished by all for her vibrant and lively spirit.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Favero, her son, Thomas Favero, her sisters, Viola Piatek, Eva Kostrzycki, Pauline Wright, Rose Luchterhand, and Mary Ann Stegman, and her parents, Janko and Mary Kolenko.
Gloria is survived by her children Anthony and Laura Favero; her daughters-in-law, Elizabeth Favero and Teresa Favero; her grandchildren Justin Weeks, Megan Farley, Alexander Bailey, Brittany Bailey, Austin Favero, and Ashleigh Conlon; and her great-grandchildren Kayleigh, Grayden, Logan, Joleigh, Rowan, Katharina, Karsyn, Ellia, and Blaire.
A private memorial mass was held on Friday, August 23rd at 10:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her ashes will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Resurrection Garden, where she will be reunited with her beloved husband.
Gloria will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love, kindness and spunk will live on in our hearts forever.
"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me" John 14:1"
