Gloria Grace Pfund passed away on September 27, 2024, at the age of 78, surrounded by her loving family in her home in Westport, NY. Born in Lake Placid, NY, on November 29, 1945, Gloria was the beloved daughter of Robert Forbes and Beatrice Ferris.

Throughout her life, Gloria was known for her kind, thoughtful, and generous spirit, always putting others before herself. She was a role model parent and found true happiness in the presence of her family. Gloria was a talented painter, quilter, and cook, with a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature, often spending her days bird watching.

After graduating from Westport School in 1963, Gloria spent several years at home raising her children and then dedicated over 20 years as a secretary at the Westport School, where she was actively involved in various school activities, including serving as a cheerleading coach and class advisor.

She was preceded in death by her son Eric Pfund, her parents, her siblings Philip Forbes and Sylvia Drew; and her stepfather Harry McMurtry.

Gloria will be deeply missed by her devoted husband, Charles Pfund; her children Charles Pfund and Tania Hayes (Preston Randall); as well as her cherished grandchildren Griffin Hayes, Hannah Randall, and Jacob Randall; and her sister Mildred Paquette.

A woman admired, loved, and adored by all who knew her, Gloria embodied the true essence of a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She found immense joy in family meals, celebrations, and watching her grandson play soccer.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
