Gloria Piorkowski Obituary

Gloria Piorkowski, age 84, passed away peacefully, Monday, August 25, 2025. A devoted wife of 64 years to her beloved husband, John Piorkowski, Gloria’s life was a beautiful testament to love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

She was the cherished mother of Bill Piorkowski (Anna Santiago), Todd Piorkowski, and Greg (Kim) Piorkowski, and the proud grandmother of Nadia (Saul) Salas, Olivia Piorkowski, Leisha (Dan) Dimoff, and Julia Piorkowski. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her great-grandchildren; Neylani, Saul, Ariela, and Marie, who lovingly knew her as the best Great Grandma — a title she wore with pride and warmth.

Gloria’s love for her family was the heartbeat of her life. She found immense joy in cooking, and boy oh boy, she was truly exceptional at it. Her meals were more than just food — they were expressions of love, comfort, and tradition. Every bite carried the warmth of her heart, and everyone who sat at her table could taste the love she poured into each dish.

Her infectious laugh and playful giggle lit up every room. Gloria found joy in the simplest, silliest moments, and her laughter became a soundtrack to countless cherished memories. That laughter — so full of life and love — will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of sharing those precious times with her.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Alice Lompre; her brothers Michael Lompre and Gary Lompre; and her sisters Barbara Mickalich and Frances Heikkinen. She is survived by her loving husband John, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sister Sandra (Edward) Koepel, as well as many nieces and nephews who adored her.

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved so fiercely and who loved her in return. Gloria’s life was a gift, and her memory will continue to inspire warmth, laughter, and love.

Visitation at Max A. Sass and Sons Funeral Home, South Shore Chapel, on Tuesday September 2, 2025 from 5PM to 7PM with a service at 7 PM.
