Glynn Ramey

Mr. Glynn Ramey began his life's journey on January 18, 1956, in Lisbon, Arkansas, born
to Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie and Annie Ramey. He peacefully departed this earthly home on
September 9, 2025, with his daughter by his side.
At a young age, Mr. Ramey accepted Christ at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lisbon,
Arkansas, where he remained a faithful member until he was called home to be with our
Heavenly Father.
He attended Smackover School and proudly graduated. Glynn worked for many years at
Great Lakes Chemical before joining Sale's Trucking as a diesel mechanic, where he
remained until his retirement.
In 1993, he met the love of his life, Mrs. Sherrie, when she moved to Smackover.
On June 19, 1998, they became one, sharing a beautiful life together until her passing in 2011.
Glynn was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, beloved uncle, and
dear friend to many. Though a man of few words, he found joy in simple pleasures:
spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sitting on the porch
with his siblings, watching westerns, hunting, attending NASCAR races (his favorite
driver was Dale Earnhardt Sr.), hanging out with his nephews, reading the newspaper,
and fixing trucks. He especially loved sitting by the window, watching the world go by.
Though he has left this world, his love and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of
all who knew him
.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mrs. Sherrie Ramey; his son, Quangrell
Brown; grandson, Quangrell Brown Jr.; his parents; five brothers-Lonnie Ramey Jr.
(June), Curtis Ramey (Bub), Huey P. Ramey, Billy Ramey (Bill), and Jimmie Ramey; and
two sisters-Betty Grant and Mary Neil Holmes (Peewee).
He leaves to cherish his precious memories two daughters: Ronneesha Williams of
Smackover, Arkansas, and Sheletha Ramey of El Dorado, Arkansas; two sons: Jarrid
Ramey of El Dorado, Arkansas, and Terry Harden of Hope, Arkansas; four
granddaughters: SPC Kashauna Williams, Diamond Brown, Arriona Brown, and Andrell
Brown; three grandsons: Synard Williams, Carmelo Brown, and Daniel Frazier; three
great-granddaughters: Jade, August, and Paris; one great-grandson: Hoyston;
goddaughter Jasmine Ramey; three sisters: Dorothy White of El Dorado, Arkansas,
Marcella Phillips of Mt. Holly, Arkansas, and Opral Cook of Smackover, Arkansas.
special nephew Greg "Bull" Ramey; many beloved nieces and nephews; special nurses
Brittany Jordan and Sheena Kimble; and a host of family and friends. He touched the
lives of many and will be remembered fondly for his kindness, compassion, and
enduring spirit.
