Dr. Godofredo A. "Fred" Lim, 87, of Westminster, passed peacefully on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 5:00 AM with his loving family by his side. Born March 27, 1935, in the Philippines, he was the son of the late Leon Lim and Maxima Alcido Lim.
Dr. Lim came to the United States in 1963 to Summit, New Jersey, married his beloved wife Gliceria in 1965 and settled in Westminster in 1971, where they raised three sons. Before retiring, he was a Medical Physician at Springfield Hospital Center and was a part of a private practice in Hampstead and Taneytown. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church and enjoyed playing tennis with his friends and family in his spare time.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Gliceria V. Lim, three dearly loved sons; Kenneth V. Lim (Barbie) of Westminster; Jeffrey A. Lim (Arthur ) of New York, NY; Frederick V. Lim (Rebecca Gibson-Lim) of Quebec, Canada and four grand daughters; Katherine, Kristen, Kelsey, and Emma.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Fletcher Funeral and Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster, MD. A memorial mass will be celebrated Friday, July 15, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, MD, 21157, with Father Rey Landicho officiating. Private interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Westchester, NY.
