Goldie Mae "Lovins" Murphy

Goldie Mae Murphy, known to many as Nanny, 85, of Oak Hill, West Virginia, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Bower's Hospice House, Beckley, West Virginia. Goldie was born on April 26, 1940, in Kermit, West Virginia, to the late Benny and Lucille Lovins.

Goldie was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her grandkids and great-grandkids were her life. Goldie found much joy in gardening. She loved flowers of all kinds.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; siblings, Robert, Margaret, Mark, and Jack; and a son-in-law, Jim.

Those left to cherish her memory; her sisters, Christine Rancourt, Jenny Lovins (Ronnie), Linda Meade (Danny), Brenda Norwood, Irma Riffle, Lucy Pacyna, and Darlene Goble (Albert); a brother, Jimmy Lovins (Vicki); her children, Michelle Kessler, Stephanie Hamrick (Tony), and Alicia Holcomb (Allen); grandchildren, Heather Parker (Drew), Samantha Bess (T.J.), Theron Murphy, Hillary Ferrell (Frank), Daryl Rhodes (Brittany), Jaclyn Bass (Justin), Lauren Holcomb, and Julia Holcomb; great-grandchildren, Alexis Wickline, Jay and Braxton Bess, Brent, Carter and Abigail Parker, Parker Rhodes, and Bentlee and Ethen Bass; and several nieces and nephews.

In honor of Goldie's wishes, she will be cremated.
