Gordon Keng Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Birdsong Cremations on Dec. 10, 2024.
**Obituary for Gordon Craig Keng** With profound sadness and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Gordon Craig Keng on November 11, 2024, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 54. Craig was born on June 21, 1970, in Houston, a vibrant city that shaped much of his life and character. Craig was the beloved son of Cecil D. Keng and Tessie M. Keng. He grew up surrounded by the warmth and companionship of his siblings: Carolyn Sue Keill Hood, Janet Keng Lennon, Kenneth Keng, Shila Saucedo, Marshal Glen Keng, and Sonja Keng. He also was a loving uncle to numerous nieces and nephews who adored him.
Though Craig did not measure success by financial means, he was generous to a fault, often giving to others at his own expense. This profound generosity was matched only by his love for music and the time he cherished with his family. Those who knew him will remember the joy he found in the simplest moments shared with those he loved most. Craig's journey as a merchant mariner with Higman Towing marked his early adulthood, a career that took him to distant shores.
His family will honor his life with a private gravesite ceremony to be held in the spring at Salty Cemetery, Salty, Texas. This intimate gathering will be a moment for reflection and gratitude for a life lived with sincerity, warmth, and unwavering generosity. His presence in our lives was a gift, and his memory remains deeply etched in our hearts. As we say farewell, we do so with heavy hearts yet enriched by the kindness and love he imparted. In lieu of public condolences, the family invites those who knew Craig to hold their cherished memories and moments close, ensuring that his spirit continues to resonate through the shared bonds of love and remembrance.
