We're deeply saddened to announce the passing of Gordon L. Lensner, lovingly known as Don, who left us on September 1, 2025, just shy of his 70th birthday. Born on September 22, 1955, in Lakewood, Ohio, He lived many years in Rocky River and eventually made his home in Avon Lake.

Don graduated from Rocky River High School and went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from Kenyon College. Don had many accomplishments throughout his life, he was an Eagle Scout and later became a 32nd degree Mason. He built a successful career in marketing and sales, retiring from Johnson Mathey Corp., where his talent for connecting with people truly shined.

He didn't just work hard; Don played hard too. He had a passion for cars and coins, and he loved spending time with his dogs. Together with his beloved wife Joni, Don traveled the globe, always making memories and sharing adventures. He was an aspiring golfer and enjoyed swimming and biking. Don was at his best when he was surrounded by his family.

Don leaves behind his cherished wife, Joan Lensner; their children, William Burnett (Kate), Lia Palisin (Tom), and Haley Mariner (Joe); and the apples of his eye, his grandchildren, Tommy, Jack and Lily Palisin and Laine and Maren Burnett; and his beloved companion, Bert his Aussie. Don was predeceased by his parents, Victor and Jean Lensner; and his brother, Teddy Lensner.

In honor of the many Good Dogs that Don had throughout his life and all of the Good Dogs that he would stop to pet, please consider donating to an Animal Shelter near you.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 12pm, at Rockport United Methodist Church, 3301 Wooster Rd. Rocky River, OH, where family and friends will gather to celebrate the vibrant life Don lived.
