Gordon Lynch

Gordon Harold Lynch, age 88, of Toledo, Ohio and Fort Myers, FL passed away on Sunday September 17, 2023, at St. Ann's Mercy Hospital. He was born May 3, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio to Harold Ernst and Bernice (Berman) Lynch. After graduating from Whitmer High School, Gordy went on to study at Bowling Green University. Gordy married Barbara Jean (Hayton) and had many loving years together before her passing. Gordy was in the Naval Reserve for 22 years with the rank of Petty Officer 1st Class and was an avid golfer and tennis player; a member of Old Hickory Golf and Country Club in Fort Myers. Gordy was in banking & mortgage companies his whole life including the Toledo Trust Co., Ohio Citizens Co., and other financial firms. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and friend to all who knew him.
Gordy is survived by loving sons, James (Deborah) Lynch, Jeffery (Lena) Lynch; stepdaughter, Amy (Patrick) Mueller; step-grandsons, Jack, Theodore, and William; several nieces and nephews; brothers, George (Helen) Lynch, Ronald (Dee) Lynch; beloved dog of 14 years, Sofie; and countless extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his two sons, Barbara Lynch; second wife and loving companion, Judith (Etchen) Lynch; and grandsons, James, and Ryan Lynch.
A private memorial service will be held for the immediate family. Those wishing to leave memorial contributions are asked to consider a local animal shelter. Arrangements were handled by Walker Funeral Home, Toledo.
