Gordon "Bob" Meyer, 91, died peacefully on Saturday, October 5, 2024. Born in Oceanside, Long Island, NY to the late Rudolph and Ruth (Mackie) Meyer, he was a proud Army veteran of the Korean Era, serving on the National Honor Guard. Bob earned a Business degree from Bryant College and an MBA from Western New England University. His career included working as a store manager for the former W.T. Grant Co. for 20 years, a Marketing Manager for National Blank Book and for many years he owned and operated an office product business for many years. An avid gardener, Bob loved flowers, especially lilies and orchids. He belonged to the New England Lily Society and won several competitions over the years. After 39 years of marriage, Bob is survived by his beloved wife Christine (Parzych) Meyer, four children; Sheryl Baxter of West Springfield, Suzanne Dubeau of Oxford, MA, Robert Meyer of Maine and Edmund Meyer of Holyoke, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bob was also predeceased by his brother Richard Meyer. Bob's Committal Service with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, October 16th at 2 PM at MA Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. Wilbraham Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Springfield Rescue Mission, 10 Mill St., Springfield, MA 01108.
