Mr. Kenneth Gordon Minyard, 70, of Holcomb, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023 at his residence. He was born June 9, 1953 in Grenada. Gordon had worked for a number of years at Ajinomoto Foods in Oakland as a Purchasing Agent. An avid outdoorsman, Gordon looked forward to deer and turkey season each year. He also enjoyed collecting and searching for arrowheads and other Indian artifacts. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching old westerns. Gordon greatly enjoyed the companionship of his dogs through the years. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. Kevin Smith officiating. Family and friends will gather from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service Tuesday at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include his mother, Sue Hall of Grenada; daughter, Elise Hyer(Matt) of Birmingham; son, Corey Hyer(Stacy) of Eupora and three grandchildren, Noah, Barrett and Blaine.
He was preceded in death by Kenneth Minyard; his father, Dr. Sam Hall; his loving wife, Judy Minyard and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Morgan and Mr. and Mrs. Houston Minyard.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Cresswell, David Little, Danny Livingston, Ronnie Robertson, Patrick Stone and John Terry. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dalton DeLoach, Taylor DeLoach, DeWayne Denton and Cooper Little.
In lieu of traditional flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the wildlife preservation charity of your choice.
